What is my ultrasound image actually used for?
Your uploaded image is used exclusively to create the keepsake you purchased — an EchoGlow, EchoCard, EchoPortrait, EchoForm, or an EchoEnhance digital enhancement. It isn't used for anything else, and it isn't reviewed for any purpose beyond making sure your keepsake turns out well. BabyPrint3D is a keepsake studio, not a medical provider, so your image is never treated as, or used for, a medical record.
How long do you keep the image itself?
Uploaded ultrasound images are stored securely and are automatically deleted 30 days after your order is completed. You don't need to request anything for this to happen — it's the standard handling for every order.
What about the 3D model data — is that different?
Yes. The processed 3D model data generated from your ultrasound (used to produce keepsakes like EchoForm or EchoPortrait) is retained indefinitely, separate from the original image. We keep it so that if you want a duplicate down the road — another EchoCard for a grandparent, a second EchoGlow — we can produce it without asking you to track down and re-upload the original scan.
Can I ask you to delete everything?
Yes, at any time. Email support@babyprint3d.us with the subject line "Remove my data," and we will permanently delete all files and information associated with your email address — including the retained 3D model data, not just the original image.
Do you share or sell my ultrasound photo?
