Their MaiRa platform analyzes molecular signals in a simple blood draw to flag risks like preeclampsia months before symptoms would otherwise appear. Co-founder Professor Carlos Simón described the goal simply: to give "every pregnant woman a comprehensive, early molecular picture of her pregnancy."
