On Friday, September 18, families across Dixie, Gilchrist, and Levy counties in Florida gathered at the Community Building on the Haven campus in Chiefland for the 2026 Tri-County World's Greatest Baby Shower — a free event hosted by the Partnership for Strong Families for any expecting parent or family with a baby under one. More than 45 exhibitor organizations showed up with supplies, resources, and raffle prizes worth over $3,000. As PSF President Ginger Griffeth put it, "It is our honor to get to know and support families with young children."
Eight years running, over 150 families last year alone — this isn't a one-time gesture. It's a community deciding, year after year, that no expecting parent should feel like they're doing this alone.
Gifts that come from people, not registries
There's something we love about a baby shower that isn't tied to any one guest list. It's a reminder that some of the most meaningful support for a new family comes from people who show up simply because they care — neighbors, community groups, distant relatives, even strangers.
That's a big part of why we built EchoCard the way we did: a keepsake almost anyone can give, without needing to know the registry or guess a size. And if someone wants to give an Echo Collection keepsake but doesn't have the ultrasound image themselves, our digital gift card lets them do exactly that — delivered by email, redeemable whenever the parents are ready to choose. It's the kind of gift that says "we're thinking of you" long before the baby arrives.
Whether your shower has 150 guests or five, we think the best gifts are the ones that turn a photo already full of meaning into something a family keeps forever. That's what we're here for.
